What impact can a single act have? And what can it teach us today?
On the occasion of the world premiere of the musical Winton, we invite you to the discussion “The Legacy of Nicholas Winton Today”, taking place on Sunday, 19 October, at 3:00 p.m. at Městské divadlo Brno.
At our invitation, remarkable guests will come to Brno: Nick Winton, son of Sir Nicholas, together with Milena Grenfell-Baines, Eva Paddock, and Alf Dubs — all of whom were saved by Nicholas Winton in 1939 from Nazi persecution.
Organised in collaboration with the Brno City Theatre as part of the accompanying programme to the premiere of the new stage production, the discussion will not only reflect on Winton’s extraordinary rescue, but also offer a broader perspective on what courage, responsibility, and humanity mean today.
We want to remind ourselves that heroism is not born of grand gestures, but of concrete acts that can change the world.
Around forty members of “Nicky’s Family” — the descendants of those saved by Sir Nicholas in 1939 — will also join us for this occasion.
Admission is free, but capacity is limited, so we kindly ask you to reserve your seats in advance.
