Meeting Brno 22.-31.5.2026

We are a festival of open dialogue and understanding. We create a space for sharing stories, seeking common ground, and overcoming boundaries. Join a unique event that inspires new perspectives on both the past and the future.

In its eleventh edition, the Meeting Brno festival will ask: Where the Home Is? What does “home” mean today—in a world where borders shift faster than our sense of security, where war once again divides families and nations, and where fear and disinformation can make even our neighbours feel like strangers?

Home can be where we come from. It can be a return—or a new beginning. For some, it’s a memory; for others, a hope. Increasingly, home is something we must seek and reimagine—in relationships, in language, in society, and within ourselves.

In a region where the echoes of historical displacement still resonate, and new forms of uprooting are emerging, we open a space for dialogue, listening, and shared reflection.

Meeting Brno 2026 invites you to come together—even if we come from different places. Join us as we explore what it truly means to feel at home today.

Over the course of ten days, you can look forward to discussions with prominent figures, theatre performances, concerts, exhibitions, and the traditional Reconciliation March. Come to a festival where meeting is not just a word, but a lived experience.

“I consider Meeting Brno a highly important element in the mosaic of remembrance culture. Our history is far from simple, and it is vital to view the past with objectivity so that we can better understand the present and be equipped for the future.”

Daniel Herman, former Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic
