Moravské náměstí
We will gather around one long table at Moravské Square. In a place where we usually pass one another by, we will allow ourselves the time to truly be together – calmly, respectfully, and without hurry. Brno at One Table is a neighbourhood gathering built on a simple idea: when we share a place, food and music for a while, we understand each other better – even in matters that are not self-evident.
The afternoon will be accompanied by a rich musical programme: the dulcimer ensemble Šmytec, a brass band, ensembles from local elementary schools of the arts, and traditional folk groups in costume will all perform. The music will not serve as a mere backdrop, but as a natural way of tuning into one another – to pause, to stay, to begin a conversation.
The gathering will also be attended by individuals who have long been building bridges between Czechs and Germans – not through grand words, but through concrete work, dialogue, and the ability to be together.
Refreshment stalls will be available on site, but we also invite you to embrace the best “neighbourly” principle: bring along something small to eat or drink and share it at the table with others. It is often the sharing of flavours and attention that opens up conversation most naturally.
Free admission.
The event was made possible thanks to the support of the Czech-German Future Fund (ČNFB).
