Commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust
At Platform 5—the place from which transports departed from Brno—we will jointly open the festival with a commemorative gathering. A delegation of the Sudeten German Association will honor the memory of the victims of the Holocaust together with Nick Winton, son of Sir Nicholas Winton, and the so-called “Winton children,” Eva Paddock and Milena Grenfell-Baines. The gathering will take place with respect for the site and the memory of those who departed from here.
The event has been organised in cooperation with the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft and the Ackermann-Gemeinde, with the support of the Czech-German Future Fund.
