Kaprálová, Martinů, Dvořák, Janáček: four distinct voices, four different ways of seeing the world, and one shared tension – how do we recognise where home is when we leave, return, change our surroundings, and yet do not want to lose what holds us together?
The experience of journey is carried by the performers themselves. Eva Blažková and Petra Musilová (soprano), together with Jana Rambousková (piano), present a recital that is not only about vocal line and melody, but also about a theme each of us carries in our own way: departure, searching, return. Here, music is not illustration, but a language capable of naming what can be hard to say.
The concert will take place at Villa Stiassni – a house that itself bears the question of home and its loss. Songs of journey will therefore sound in a space where home once became something that could be taken away. And for that very reason, they may resonate all the more strongly.
