Arnošt Lustig: Dramatic Readings

During this literary and musical early evening, lovers of fiction will hear two dramatic short stories by Arnošt Lustig, an exceptional storyteller of human destinies – The Last Day of the Fires and The Great White Road. Lustig’s books are starkly concrete, and yet a light continues to shine through them: human dignity, fear, and often a stubborn hope.

The staged reading, accompanied by accordion, will be performed by leading actors of the Brno City Theatre – Zdena Herfortová, Láry Kolář and Oldřich Smysl. Come and listen to stories that will resonate long after the final sentence.
