Brno’s Lost Places: Stránská Skála War Time

Stránská skála is a site deeply interwoven with history. Join Silvia Šeborová, author of Nemísta: A Guide to Lost Places in Brno, and military historian Tomáš Řepa as they uncover its past, particularly its connections to World War II. We will visit a small concrete observation post designed to provide shelter during air raids. We will also explore the unfinished Nazi underground factory, where up to 130 people perished in an air raid in August 1944, and examine the remnants of an air-raid shelter.

Participants are advised to wear sports shoes (as we will walk on uneven terrain) and bring sufficient water.
