The Body: Home of the Soul

The body remembers more than we are willing to admit. In the lecture Body, Home, Soul, we will explore how our life experience – relational, familial, and spiritual – is inscribed into the nervous system, our posture, and the way we inhabit our own world.

Martina Viktorie Kopecká draws on Pesso Boyden Psychomotor Therapy (PBSP), Stephen Porges’ polyvagal theory, and the work of Edward W. L. Smith (The Body in Psychotherapy) and Manuela Reeds (Body Work in Psychotherapy). Together, we will seek answers to what it means to feel “at home” in one’s own body, how bodily regulation relates to a sense of safety, and how working with the body can open a path toward deeper integration of our psychological and spiritual life.

The lecture will connect a theoretical framework with concrete examples from therapeutic practice and offer inspiration to anyone wishing to better understand the connections between body, relationship, and the inner space we call the soul.

Ticket sales will open soon.
