Muzeum romské kultury
The permanent exhibition of the Museum of Romani Culture opens up histories that in this country are often simplified, rendered invisible, or told “about Roma without Roma”. In this guided tour, we will go deeper: looking at key moments in Roma history, ways of life, culture, and the experience of persecution – and at how these stories continue to shape the present.
The tour will be led by Jana Horváthová. Particular attention will also be given to the Brno context: how the city changed after the departure of Jews and Germans, and how Roma presence becomes visible within these ruptures and shifts. The tour offers a framework that helps us see Brno as a city of multiple stories – and as a city that can be read differently once we understand the wider context.
In cooperation with the Museum of Roma Culture.
