A unique discussion between President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel and President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová will open this year’s Meeting Brno festival. The discussion will focus on the relationship between our two countries 30 years after the division of Czechoslovakia and will take place in the garden of Villa Tugedhat and Löw-Beer. The place where the decision to split Czechoslovakia was announced – a decision that changed many people’s lives.

The Heads of our two countries will sit down for a dialogue that will reflect on the past and help us understand who we are and where we are heading. But they will also focus on the current challenges and opportunities for cooperation between our two countries. Join us for an extraordinary event.

Refreshments will be available for purchase on site.

The programme will be simultaneously translated into English and German.

Moderated by: Martina Viktorie Kopecká and David Macek

Music by: Šmytec and Nebeská muzika

The programme is held in cooperation with the Brno City Museum and the Brno Region Museum. The general partner of the day is EcoInvestment Praha.
