Crossing Our Thresholds

They were born into peace and freedom, at a time when both our countries are members of the European Union and NATO. How do they perceive Czech-German relations?

It is not only experience, but also prejudices that shape the way we perceive our neighbours. This certainly applies to the relationship between Czechs and Germans as well. Students of the Karl Rehbein School in Hanau, students of the American Academy in Brno together with their teachers Markus Harzer and Pavel Novák, as well as other witnesses and academics from both countries, explore these relationships in a documentary called “Přes naše prahy”. Their starting point is a novel by Jan Procházka called “Kočár do Vídně”.
